David - thanks for the posts, and I'm sorry I missed you at Wrentham, but you really captured the nastiness of that day.  You got a pic of me in the ecv blues, what you could see of them; although I wasn't that bad . . . I remember at my start seeing a couple of guys from your race come back for their jackets, and they were literally covered with mud - all you could see were the whites of their eyes.  Unlike me, they must have been drafting other riders.  

And your posts just continue to feed my growing obsession - that was my 3rd 'cross race ever (first 2 this year GPG), and even though it took a couple of days to get the feeling back in my toes and fingers after that one, I need more.

One last on Wrentham - my wife & kids came, and we hit the Outlets post-race; nothing was better than the giant plate of baked ziti & meatballs I inhaled in the food court that afternoon!
