2nd Annual Tour de Essex County Century
Saturday, July 15 9:00 AM
Cove Community Center, E. Corning Street, Beverly MA 01915

Following the success of the ECV Sponsor Shops Weekend Ride Series, we are happy to announce the 2nd Annual Tour de Essex County.   It is time to don your Blue and White and ride the nicest roads of our Essex County!  The route differs a bit from last year’s version but has been improved to include the best parts of each of the Sponsor Shops Rides.  Starting at Cove Community Center the ride will wind through Beverly towards Bay Rood Bikes.  The route will then head north towards Haverhill enroute to Newburyport.  We will cruise along some pristine backroads of Riverside Cycles country where we will have our first rest stop.  After refueling, the ride will follow some of the Bay Road Bikes Ride south through Rowley and Ipswich before heading east toward Gloucester.  Once in Gloucester we will stop at Harborside Cycles to stretch the legs and fill up our bottles.  Upon departure we will follow the shoreline route of Cape Ann before returning to Gloucester and on towards Manchester by the Sea.  Following rte 127, we will stop at Seaside Cycles to prepare for the final stretch back to Cove Community Center in Beverly where the Annual ECV Bash will be heating up!

A shorter option of approximately 60 miles will also be offered.   Riders will depart together and speed groups will form on the road as needed.

Cue sheet and maps will be provided.

Directions to the start:  Cove Community Center, E. Corning Street, Beverly MA 01915.
