| 1. | 2/5/2008 1:39:00 PM | It is fun to see people riding
More is better
Youth out reach maybe a good idea |
| 2. | 2/5/2008 1:42:00 PM | Hire Matt Roy to coach/run/develop an ECV development squad for both men AND women. Not like he has that much time, though. Matt is the reason I wanted to join, Matt's leaving is the reason I left. |
| 3. | 2/5/2008 1:48:00 PM | ECV has a different feel than it did 5 years ago. I miss the strong elite presence we used to have. I'd like to see more photos from the TTs, shop rides, and TdEC. I'd like the TdEC to be in late June, July, or early August to get my fitness back and to improve the odds of having good weather. |
| 4. | 2/5/2008 2:24:00 PM | Seems like Matt PLum is the only ECV link to MTN biking. He does great work. MTN Devo team WAS good too. |
| 5. | 2/5/2008 2:26:00 PM | Strong club, great kit! Would love to see more masters racing. I'm usually the only ECV kit out there in my group. Somewhat disconnected by location and bad luck in timing of events i'd like to help out at (October xcross race conflicts with an annual meeting i have almost every year). Keep up the good work. |
| 6. | 2/5/2008 2:27:00 PM | Get out communication about events: parties, trails days, etc MUCH earlier than we have in the past, particularly during busy summer months. 2-3 wks lead time is woefully insufficient for people w/ families, work and otherwise busy social schedules. |
| 7. | 2/5/2008 2:28:00 PM | ECV was/is a good club. I have sinced moved away. It is still fun to get the update via email every once in a while... Keep up the good work |
| 8. | 2/5/2008 2:31:00 PM | I think the club is getting better but still needs a little help with a race program and somemore committed members |
| 9. | 2/5/2008 2:49:00 PM | I'd enjoy more mtb rides at various locations and for varied skill levels. The Seaside rides are too gnar for me and a long drive. An evening ride that moves from week to week might be something to try. I always look forward to the Riverside night mtb rides in the fall. Something similar the rest of the year could be good. |
| 10. | 2/5/2008 2:50:00 PM | Great job with the club everyone! Sorry I have been invisible for a few years, I intend to increase my involvement once my company is stable and can run without my hand-holding! -Chris Benoit |
| 11. | 2/5/2008 3:07:00 PM | Admittedly daylight is an issue, but I cannot make weekday rides that start before 6 p.m. Later starts and/or moderate weekend rides would allow me to get in the groove. |
| 12. | 2/5/2008 4:12:00 PM | I really like the cross racers, but had zero teammates at any event on the road last year. Given that most of the group events are in Essex County (not a surprise), and the majority of the roadies are masters, I am considering joining another team for the road season (or racing in Collegiate kit). However, I am totally committed to ECV for the cross season (but again, everyone is mad old--why?) |
| 13. | 2/5/2008 5:47:00 PM | Thanks to all that contribute and volunteer for the club!! Thanks to those that participate in the events. Thanks to the shop sponsors for their support.
EVC does not do enough to expand membership. That makes it seem a little too insider oriented. |
| 14. | 2/5/2008 5:56:00 PM | ECV is a great club with a fantastic base of very nice people. The cross practices alone are reason enough to stay a member, and Paul and the others really commit to a lot of time and effort during the year to promote the club and get people involved. I would like to see more emphasis on racing, and maybe additional group rides (it seems like this fell off last year for some reason).
Overall, the officers do quite a bit of work behind the scenes for the membership, and I appreciate it |
| 15. | 2/5/2008 10:14:00 PM | We should do more for juniors - I would rather see a junior program than race reimbursement for old slow guys like me |
| 16. | 2/5/2008 10:42:00 PM | Currently I live in VT, but participate in rides when I am back in the Boston area. |
| 17. | 2/6/2008 12:07:00 AM | Thanks for asking. I'd like to see the Tour de Essex County and the summer bash back on track. |
| 18. | 2/6/2008 3:50:00 AM | 2008 season has the makings of a great new beginning for the club with the new officers |
| 19. | 2/6/2008 1:34:00 PM | I enjoyed my time at ECV. However, I was solo for many or most of my races for the past two years. There really is no race team any more; only a few motivated individuals. Also, there is no significant support for racing from any of the "sponsoring" clubs. |
| 20. | 2/7/2008 12:32:00 AM | Paul, I like some of the things I see you are changing as President!! |
| 21. | 2/7/2008 8:00:00 PM | Postal mailing for the annual bash was great! |
| 22. | 2/8/2008 7:31:00 PM | Is there a member list? Maybe some background on members and anything they have been involved in. |
| 23. | 2/12/2008 7:57:00 PM | If I find the time to ride again, I would do it with ECV. |
| 24. | 2/13/2008 1:51:00 AM | I chose to race for another club but I still have strong ties to ECV. I hope it continues to provide other cyclists in the area the same programs it always has. |
| 25. | 2/13/2008 3:58:00 AM | I want to be racing with/against more white and blue kits.....in cyclocross, road and MTNbike! I would love to blow up pulling a fellow ECV'r to a WIN!! |
