Hello ECVers!!!
Well, the seasonal and karmic wheels have come full circle, and it’s that time of year again. That’s right, it’s time for the Annual ECV bash. All the fun, food, frolics and hilarity you’ve come to expect, and boy do we have a day lined up for you this year.
First of all, we’ve combined the hugely popular Tour d’Essex County with our annual bash. What could be better than a day in the saddle spent rolling through the amazing highways and by-ways of our beloved Essex County. While the all the rain has put a bit of a damper on riding, the phlora and pholiage, my two wheeled bruthas and sistas are in PHUL EPHEKT! This is bound to be one of the most scenic local rides of the season, a double barreled dose of natural beauty and two wheeled harmony. As an added bonus, all four sponsor shops are putting out the spread for the club and are ready and willing to make sure your tour rolls rock steady.
Knobby wheeled types, don’t despair, I know the year’s been a little slow with the initial Ride, Brew and Q’ cancelled due to flooding, but we’ve got a ride set up for you as well! We can’t let the Tour crew grab all the glory, roll out and get dirty w/ your ECV posse. Come and sample some of the best off-road riding Essex County has to offer. All ages and ability levels are welcome and encouraged to come along. No one will be ditched or left behind (well, er, except for the mandatory sacrifice to the earth god, but I mean, come on, how likely is that to be YOU?!?!)
But back to my initial question, what could be better?… Well, “better” might be a tough sell given the hyperbolic righteousness of the tour and trails, but certainly “Coup de Grace” fits nicely. That’s right, as you bask in the afterglow of roads and trails well ridden and cranks well spun, raise a frosty one with your ECV brethren, gorge on some righteous chow and get into the swing of things with the Annual ECV bash.
