Whether you ride recreationally or competitively, road or mountain, with ECV team clothing or a tee-shirt and cut-offs, there are a ton of reasons to become an ECV member, but the best reason is the members themselves:

• I would like to take this opportunity and say what a pleasure it was riding and racing with you guys. ECV has done quite a bit to develop my cycling abilities. The group at ECV are some of the best guys I have ever been associated with. Thank you all for a great 6 years. - Former ECV Racer, Ted S. April 2004

• ...I guess I've found that ECV members will really help each other out when needed. I had car problems one night last week--and it was ECV members that came to my "rescue"...........So--what I guess I'm trying to say is that there are many more benefits to being a member than first meets the eye. - K.G. 28 January 2001

• I spent last summer watching how the other teams in this area worked and acted together at the races. I really liked how the ECV guys raced and got along with each other. Better than a lot of other teams I observed. - J.B. 31 January 2001

• On behalf of our equestrian members, the Essex County Trail Association would like to thank you for the courtesy extended to our riders by your cyclists. Many riders comment on the friendly bike riders, of all ages, who get off their bikes to let horses pass on the trail. - Abby Jackson 2nd vice president, Essex County Trails Association, 16 January 2001

• The team had a magnificent showing at the nationals (2000 Cyclocross Nationals)... I can remember nothing like it in my experience.... 3 1/2 jerseys... (1/2 credit for Tim). ECV's focus on cross and the hard work of the athletes has shown great class and the other sections of the country that they might as well give up the sport. I am really pleased that you guys had a dynamite showing... the north shore of Boston is truly one of the hot beds of cycle racing in America. Every member should be proud of the success of the ECV and should be proud to wear the jersey anywhere! I am psyched for your program. - Steve Pucci, Director, CCB International, 20 December 2000

• I was talking to Toby Swanson and Jeremy Powers after the (ECV Cyclocross) race, and they both admitted that everyone cheering for me all around the course intimidated them a bit. It definitely helped me, and I received a ton of support from every ECV member. I thought about it afterward and It was so cool to me to know that all these people cared so much for how I did in my race. Thanks again and keep up the awesome cheering. - Jesse Anthony, 15 October 2000

• Thanks so much for the fabulous job you and the rest of the ECV team did last Sunday on setting up the (ECV Cyclocross) race and course. AT a minimum, a herculean task. I must say that the support I received from you and other ECV members during my race was so very much appreciated. You fellows made an old buck like me feel like I fit right in. - J.T. 17 October 2000
