It's great when tech works

Folks who don't have to actually run websites may not know that there's an epidemic of electronic spam out there. No, not only in your email; there are spam bots going around putting spam into comment fields on websites - like ECV's.

We're using a nifty service to filter out such spam attempts. And, happily, it's working. Here's a graph of the amount of spam that has been blocked at ECV over the last few weeks.

Member Profiles

I was wondering what you guys thought of the idea of a member profile on the user page.  That way we could post a lil about ourselves, race  categories, race schedules, etc, etc....just a thought

The New ecvcycling.org

ecvcycling.org circa 1998

When I took over as President in 2008, one of my main goals was to get club members to take active roles in ECV. I had heard that some members thought of ECV officers as some type of secretive clique and upon taking over, I wanted to dispel that perception.

Phew! Nearly done with the site

Jay's had enough...

Well, it's nearly done.  A website on steriods (compared to the old one).  No, wait a minute - we don't allow performance enhancing things around here. Ok, so we'll just call it a strong performer of a site.  All joking aside, I hope you'll find it excellent and useful.  ;-)

Kevin (a new guy to the area, and to you all, who works for me, who you want to race with ECV, and who I've roped into helping me build this site) and I have been slogging away for a couple of weekends, and I've been hacking for an added couple of nights now into the wee hours getting ready for the spring meeting. The net result is starting to look good. I hope....
