In the early part of the racing season, it definitely looks like the Cat 4/5's are riding well.

Volunteers are needed!

With a new sponsor, a bigger and better beer garden, and being part of the NACT and Verge Series along with UCI status, we are expecting a record turnout at the Great Brewers Gran Prix of Gloucester the weekend of 3 & 4 October 2009.

As usual, we can't pull it off without your help and are looking for volunteers. Ask anyone who has helped in the past -- it's a blast!

ECV Race Team --- meet at Fast Freddy's/DD at 1A/128 at 7:30am or go direct to Newton.   New racers will compete in C race at 9:00, Cat 4+ in B race at 9:45am.  Print reg form at www.bostonroadclub.com before you go, if possible.

The 2009 ECV Time trial series will start in Late May. I need volunteers to help run the races. A race coordinator and at leat one helper is needed for every TT. If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know. ron@ecvcycling.org
Alternatively, If you (or someone you know) would like to sponsor a TT (with cash or merchandise), that would likely entice more people to help. Nothing motivates people like gifts or cold-hard cash!

John, Katie and Connor with some schwag

The 2008 EFTA (Easter Fat Tire Association) Awards Banquet was held last night in Milford, NH, just south of the middle of nowhere.  ECV attendees were Aaron Millet, Katie Schutz, Mary, Connor and John Adamik.  The evening was quite fun, kicking off with the annual trike races and cocktails.  Now we are talking some fun.  This was followed by a tire tube toss where once an orange cone was attached to the head a partner must toss an inflated tire tube over the cone (no hands) at graduated distances, all under the clock.  Cocktails are still in effect.&
