Because It Sucks the Most..
This past weekend in the mud and rain at Plymouth on Saturday I was actually called Aaron.. This could only mean one of three things:
1. I was close to the front so people are starting to mistake me with the strong guys
2. I've gotten better looking
3. Cross races have the most drunk fans even when the race starts before noon.
My experience at Plymouth here....
Hope to see you in Lowell

In the 50's With a Strong Chance of Pain
Cycle-Smart Cross at Northampton. Incredible weekend for racing. My girlfriend Michele was there to watch on Sunday and she said that ECV's Aaron Millett had an inspirational last lap to overtake about 10 guys and finish 15th just behind Jon Bernard. Can't wait till I'm strong enough to be in a position to be passed by Aaron on the last lap :) Until then I'll just keep blogging about it from the back of the bus.. Latest here.
Best,
kevin

Heating Up at Orchard Park...
Best finish of the year plus an embrocation mishap made for a memorable race at Orchard Park for me. Read about it here...

Strength, Speed, and Experience
"Strength, speed, experience.." This was the profound statement from Aaron at the end of Downeast Day 2 which explains the major difference between the guys that win these elite master's races and the guys, like me, that get their asses handed to them.. Details of my fun in the mud here...

Sucker Brook
Well, I remember when I first heard of the race in Auburn NH with the funny name, and since it was only a 30 minute drive and I wasn't in great 'cross shape, I signed up expecting a typical small venue, low turn-out, half-assed race. To my surprise, it was a very well run race and an excellent course. The bonus was that back then the crowds were small so it was a great first race of the year. I was very impressed how a flat, basic venue could yield such a fun and challenging course. This year was no exception. Although the days of small fields are over.
Sucker for Pain
Awesome to see Jack take 3rd in the 3/4 master's yesterday! Way to go Jack. Also great effort by Aaron with his 12th in the brutal master's 1/2/3 field.. I blogged about my experience in that race here
Hope to see you in VT!
Best,
